“If the average guy hits five or six greens, that means he must miss at least twelve. Of those, maybe four times he can chip his ball onto the putting surface. Which leaves eight pitch shots. Other than driving or putting, that makes pitching the most important shot in your bag” – Hank Haney
Here, here Mr. Haney.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Now before he had his reputation tarnished and smeared by the social justice warriors in the media for actually making an observation that turned out to be correct (long story that I gave my not so humble but very accurate opinion on a couple of weeks back) Mr. Haney was a very wise and respected golf instructor.
Many of you will know he was Tiger’s coach for a number of years before Tiger ditched him for a younger model.
Not the first time that happened.
Never mind, onwards.
The pitch shot, is and always will be a crucial shot in golf. One that you will need time and time again, especially if you want to improve.
Speaking of improving, this little free e-book is getting rave reviews, yes I am the author and I will happily take all the credit and the plaudits, but you know what, it’s deserved ’cause the info within is guaranteed to get strokes off your score.
You can get the good stuff here.
