Golf Swing Secrets Laid Bare

One of the greatest ever books written on instruction and how to swing a golf club is Ben Hogan’s The Modern Fundamentals of Golf.

The book written and released in the 50’s, was one of the greatest strikers of a golf ball the world has ever seen, direct account of how to swing a club properly and the moves required to successfully repeat that motion.

Stories abound about the Hogan legend and his so called secret to the swing. No professional has hit more balls in the search of the perfect swing or, come as close to achieving it.

In his book, he laid out in print for one and sundry to have a gander and take on board his wisdom, just what it takes to swing a club well time and time again.

If you can and you got the moola it’s a modern classic and one you should definitely add to your collection if you can.

In the book somewhere in the first chapter Hogan states “The average golfer is entirely capable of building a repeating swing and breaking 80, if he learns to perform a small number of correct movements”.

And yours truly has to agree.

So much is written about the golf swing and what it takes to build a sound, repeatable action that will open the door to golfing nirvana.

Most of its horse puckey.

Sorry to disappoint you folks.

Like anything in life, you can go a long way if you just master the basics and golf is no different. That’s what Hogan did, and he turned himself into one of the greatest ball strikers the world has ever seen.

What are the fundamentals that we’re talking about?

  • Grip
  • Stance
  • Posture
  • Alignment
  • Ball position
  • Motion and balance

You get a handle on those and you can’t help but improve. And want to know a little secret my time poor friend; the first five can be done in five minutes a day without hitting balls.

Hogan has long since joined the choir invisible and now patrols the fairways of heaven, but his legacy lives on. Master the fundamentals and you go a long way.

With the above said, it brings me on to something else that will help your game, “9 Ways To Lower Your Handicap & Shoot Your Best Round Ever”, the free e-book that’s available at this link here.

It won’t turn a chop into a player, but it will definitely take a few strokes off your score.
